Ride of the year

Clint Ingham

Today’s ride was the best ride of the year so far and is one of the best rides I’ve ever been on. We started off by taking inventory of the condition of the Pond & Aberdeen Trails area then toured a portion of the interpretive forest before making our way to the Cabin for lunch. After lunch we took stock of the Cabin and what would be needed to bring it up to spec again then we headed back out onto the cabin trail network. We did a couple of loops of the cabin trail network then headed down along the Fence Trail which makes it’s way down to the south west corner of Vernon Hill over the Buchanan/Upper Summit area to enjoy the trails and magnificent views of Coldstream & Vernon. We made our way back up to Becker Lake for a leisurely break in the sun then we headed out to the powerlines where we found a smooth snowfield along the road, riding on top of the snow was like getting first tracks on a powder day, Steve and I enjoyed it so much we took three runs down the hill.

A special thanks to Scott for coming down from Kamloops for the ride, we hope it was worth the drive. Check out Scott’s RZR, he’s done all the mods himself and will soon be selling custom RZR parts that are well thought out and well built.
